About the Alim Examination
Alim is the higher secondary level of the madrasah education stream in Bangladesh. It is considered equivalent to HSC and is run under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board. Students who finish Dakhil move on to Alim, and a good result here opens the way to Fazil studies as well as to colleges and universities, depending on each institution's rules.
Alim candidates sit for the exam together with HSC and equivalent candidates, which is why the result is announced along with the HSC result. That is also why the result portal lists them under the same examination option.
Alim Result 2026 Date and Time
The HSC and equivalent results are scheduled for October 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM, and Alim is covered under the equivalent examinations. The announcement came through the Dhaka Education Board website. How to Check Alim Result 2026 Online
- Go to the official education board result portal, educationboardresults.gov.bd.
- From the Examination list, select HSC/Alim/Equivalent.
- Choose 2026 as the year.
- From the Board list, select Madrasah.
- Choose Individual Result.
- Enter your roll number and registration number.
- Type the captcha shown in the box.
- Click submit and your Alim result will open.
Take your admit card with you while doing this. Your roll and registration numbers are both printed on it, and checking them against the card saves you from silly typing mistakes.
Alim Result 2026 by SMS
The SMS method is handy when the internet is weak. Write your message in this order:
ALIM <space> MAD <space> roll number <space> 2026
Then send it to 16140. A student with roll 123456 would write ALIM MAD 123456 2026. Use English letters and numbers, with exactly one space between the parts. Your reply should arrive as a text message shortly after. You can also create the message in one tap using the form at the top of this page.
Alim Result 2026 With Marksheet
The online result generally shows your name, institution, group, overall GPA and the grade for each subject, wherever the detailed result is available. Read it carefully once it opens. Check that your name and roll number are right and that every subject you appeared in is listed.
Alim follows the same 5.00 grading scale as HSC, with A+ worth 5.00 and 80 marks or more, and F meaning a fail. You can estimate your own GPA with the calculator on the HSC Result 2026 page.

Alim Result Re-scrutiny
If a mark seems wrong, the board normally opens a window for re-scrutiny after the result. A separate notice explains the fee, the dates and how to apply. Rules change by year, so wait for the current notice and keep a copy of your result ready when you apply.
